(Having just purchased "Globe").
I needed a big painting for our beautiful bedroom. I never saw anything
interesting. The colors are incredible, and make me want to go into the
painting. It brings me so much pleasure to look at all its parts. It hangs
directly across from our bed. I'm constantly discovering new things in it
every day I didn't know were there. It always surprises and delights me.

Your paintings are acutely sensitively attuned to the chakra system, to
spiritual energies. They're full of physical and metaphysical
light. Looking at your painting for 30 seconds can correct my chi like a
massage or Reiki can't even do. I have never beheld how blue things could
be - so playful and affecting!

Your paintings have the same effect on me as deity depictions in Buddhist
thangkas. I look at them and feel bliss beyond words! In them is the same
vision you use to awaken others in your healings.
I find myself steeped in the world of Wallace Stevens, one of my favorite
poets, when gazing at your work - searching for the language to conjure
their ethereality.

(Having just purchased "Doorway/Wheatfield"): Having your painting in my
house... it's a living part of things. It's a doorway into another
dimension - like another window in my apartment. It changes the space
wherever it is and everything looks different.

(Having just purchased "Red Moon") This calms me down SO MUCH, I cannot
tell you. It centers me. It focuses my awareness down to one spot, the
moon, surrounded by these intense colors - red, black... it's a mandala. I
feel cool, blue colors in my brain when I look at it. It makes me happy.
Spector's paintings speak to me on a primeval level. There's so much going
on under the surface - like a pagan dance that one can barely sense going on
under the woods; but whether one can see it or not, one knows it's there.
Most of her paintings contain a horizon line that is the center point where
energy meets energy. This is not a "New Age" woman's painting: she can go
into darkness. But within darkness, there is light.

Hidden within her works is a pure mathematics, the Source manifesting
Itself through core, original patterns, and multiply occurring perceptions
of the subtle realms.

Spector's majestic paintings are mystical in the truest sense: In them, the
celestial subsumes the earthly. As any spiritual journey must, they resolve
serenity out of struggle, uniting heaven and earth.

Her shapes and spaces are as much the result of growth as measure. These
paintings appear larger than their physical dimensions. They feel lighter
than their physical weight.
The best pieces in this show bring to mind the sparkle of an orange cut
open. They represent the wet, inner pulp of pure painting.
David Carter
Her work suggests mystical abstractions of Indian Tantra and Yantra
painting. An intuitive architecture holds firm to a wordly sense of ground
and the real.
..if one takes the step across the threshold...the world on the other side
is a more fulfilled, more heartfully luminous world.
